How to Upload a Question Paper
Step-by-step tutorial on submitting past exam papers from your smartphone or laptop.
If you just wrapped up a semester exam or have a folder of past question papers stored on your phone, you can make a huge impact on your college community. Uploading takes less than 60 seconds and requires no account registration.
The 4-Step Upload Wizard Walkthrough
Navigate to the Upload Portal at /upload. The uploader guides you through 4 clear, verified steps:
Step 1: Upload Question Paper
- Select Images: Choose photos from your mobile camera, gallery, or laptop files. You can upload up to 12 pages per booklet (up to 10MB per image).
- Multi-Page Management: Reorder pages sequentially using the arrow buttons or drag handles (Page 1, Page 2, Page 3...). Remove unwanted pages or retry individual failed uploads.
- Automatic Client WebP Compression: Our browser engine optimizes each photo to lightweight WebP format at 85% quality, slashing file sizes without losing text sharpness.
- Security Verification: Complete the brief Cloudflare Turnstile anti-bot check to protect the submission pipeline.
Step 2: Academic Details
- College: Select the institution where the exam was held (e.g., Maharaja Purna Chandra Autonomous College).
- Degree Type: Select Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), or Self-Financing.
- Stream / Category: Choose the academic stream (Arts, Science, Commerce, IT, etc.).
- Course Programme: Pick your degree (e.g., MCA, BCA, B.Sc Computer Science).
- Semester: Choose the semester term (Semester 1 through Semester 6).
- Paper Name: Type or pick the subject title. Smart auto-suggestions help you match existing curriculum subjects.
- Paper Code (Optional): Enter the code printed on the question booklet (e.g.,
CS-204,CC-IV).
Step 3: Contributor & Paper Details
- Paper Title: A clean standardized title is generated automatically, or you can fine-tune it.
- Contributor Name: Enter your name or nickname to receive community credit on the paper's archive page.
- Examination Year: Select the year printed on the question booklet (e.g., 2024, 2023).
- Examination Type: Select whether the exam was Regular, Back / Improvement, or Mid Sem.
- Contributor Note (Optional): Add any helpful remarks (e.g., 'Includes 2024 syllabus pattern revision').
Step 4: Review & Submit
- Review Summary: Verify uploaded pages, academic hierarchy, and contributor details at a glance.
- Edit Shortcuts: Click the 'Edit' button next to any section to jump back and adjust details without losing your progress.
- Duplicate Detection: The system automatically checks whether this exact paper has already been catalogued, preventing duplicate clutter.
- Submit Question Paper: Tap the submit button to publish your contribution.
What Happens After Submission?
Depending on current platform settings, your paper may be approved and published immediately, or enter our volunteer verification queue. Once approved (typically within 12-24 hours), the paper appears on the live Question Bank with a permanent URL for everyone to access. Read our Contributing Guide.
Maintenance Mode & Upload Availability
Scheduled Maintenance Policy
During periodic system maintenance or database updates, a prominent alert banner is displayed at the top of the website and submissions on the Upload portal are temporarily paused. This ensures zero data loss during infrastructure upgrades. Browsing, searching, and downloading existing archived papers remains fully functional at all times.
